Mondulkiri is Cambodia’s largest and also most sparsely populated province, containing an area of 14,288 km² (5,517 sq mi) with elevations ranging from 190 to 1,000 metres (620 to 3,280 ft).
It is located in the southeastern part of Cambodia and shares its borders with three provinces in Vietnam. The province is traversed by three significant rivers: the Srepok River, the Preaek Chhbaar River, and the Preaek Te River. This beautiful region, established in 2022, is known for its rich natural resources and diverse ecosystems.
The development of the industrial food park in Mondulkiri Province incorporates a vision centered on sustainability and greenery, emphasizing the importance of eco-friendly practices in the industrial area. This initiative aims to create a vibrant nightlife atmosphere that complements the local culture while fostering community engagement.
By establishing state-of-the-art food processing facilities and enhancing the food supply chain, the project seeks to ensure efficient distribution and preservation of food products, including the integration of cold storage solutions.
Additionally, a strong focus on crop sciences will enhance local agricultural practices by promoting innovative and sustainable farming techniques that improve productivity and resilience. This approach benefits both the environment and the economy, ensuring that farming is both ecologically sound and economically viable for the community.
The BIO-GREENERGY LAB Mondulkiri is a 100-hectare project that prioritizes the preservation of biodiversity while providing research opportunities and recreational facilities, including a central building and a treetop walk.
