The Khaki Coffee Farm is an innovative coffee social enterprise located in Mondulkiri, Cambodia, covering nearly 100 hectares of land. This project is situated in a flourishing forestry area that boasts a rich diversity of trees and plants, providing an ideal environment for coffee cultivation. The site holds historical significance as it is linked to the coffee history of the region, which dates back to the 1800s during the French colonization of Indochina, offering a unique narrative that enhances the farm's appeal.
Focusing on sustainable practices, the Khaki Coffee Farm aims to develop a thriving coffee plantation that not only produces high-quality coffee but also contributes positively to the local ecosystem. The project emphasizes coffee processing and nursing, ensuring that the cultivation methods are environmentally friendly and socially responsible. By integrating modern agricultural techniques with traditional practices, the farm seeks to create a model for sustainable coffee production.
In addition to coffee cultivation, the Khaki Coffee Farm aspires to become a destination for coffee tourism and resort experiences, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the coffee culture and appreciate the beauty of the surrounding landscape. This dual focus on agriculture and tourism aims to generate income for the local community while promoting awareness of the importance of coffee preservation and sustainable farming practices.
Through its commitment to social enterprise, the Khaki Coffee Farm not only supports local farmers and promotes economic development but also fosters a sense of community and cultural heritage. By highlighting the historical significance of coffee in the region and creating opportunities for engagement, the project aims to position itself as a leader in sustainable coffee practices and tourism in Cambodia, benefiting both the environment and the local population.
